At the recently held 55th National School Games, the team from Maharashtra bagged accolades for its performance. One of the players, Dipashree Karve, a Thane resident bagged the bronze medal for judo.
Dipashree, a student of Saraswati Secondary School in Thane played in the under-14 open category at the national level judo competition. A student of std VIII, Dipashree is being trained at Saraswati Sports Complex in Thane. Her coach Devsingh Rajput said, "Her will power and skills helped her bag the medal."
