Colombo, Aug 27 (PTI) India made a clean sweep in judo today, lapping up all the five gold medals at stake in the combat sports of the 10th South Asian Games here.
The Indians proved too strong for their rivals, as Laishram Bembem Devi won top honours in women's 48 kg with 50 victory points at the St Thomas hall.
Chana Navjot picked up the gold in men's 60 kg, while Parvinder Singh won the title in 66kg contest.
Virender Singh towered over his opponents in men's 73 kg and Anita Chanu grabed the gold in women's 52 kg.
India, having won five of the six events yesterday, finished with a rich 11-gold haul in judo.
Results: 48kg women: Gold: India - Laishram Bembem devi with 50 Victory points Silver: Sri Lanka - Chamila Wijeratne 35 VP Bronze: Nepal - Radha Devi 27 VP.
60kg men: Gold: India - Chana Navjot 40 VP Silver:Pakistan - Waris Ali 27 VP Bronze: Bangaldesh - Milton Majumdar 10 VP.
66kg men: Gold: India- Parvinder Singh (50 VP) Silver: Bangladesh - Md habibur Rehman (35VP) Bronze: Pakistan - Mohd Zeesha Butt (23VP) 73kg men: Gold: India - Virender Singh (50 VP) Silver: Pakistan Karamat Butt (30 VP) Bronze: Afghanistan - Shahjahan Habib (27 VP).
52kg women: Gold: India - Anita Chanu (40VP) Silver: Nepal - Ranju Rai (30VP) Bronze: Sri Lanka - Niluka Idamawatta (20 VP)
