Putin's judo book to be released in the US.(North Atlantic Books will publish 'Judo: History, Theory, Practice')(Brief Article).

Non-profit publishing house North Atlantic Books is to publish Russian President Vladimir Putin's book on Judo technique.

The President's American-based agent found the publisher, which specialises in martial arts books, and offered it the English translation of 'Judo: History, Theory, Practice'. The book was originally released in Russia in 2002.

Putin, a former head of the KGB, is a master of sports in judo and sambo (Russian wrestling) and an honoured coach. The book was due to be published in December 2003, but has been put back due to the Russian elections.

A spokesperson for North Atlantic said that Putin has promised to give a judo demonstration in the US when the book is released, reports SFGate.com.
