The Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) today revealed its ambitious educational programme for the Abu Dhabi Young Media Leaders- an initiative that will be implemented with twofour54 tadreeb, the training academy of twofour54. The programme, now in its third year, is supported by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Established in 2007 as the Young Press Leaders, today the new name reflects a more comprehensive programme of activities that covers all forms of media, and includes a series of student workshops.

The Young Media Leaders programme encourages the direct involvement and participation of young nationals in the process of reading, writing and journalistic reporting. It involves high performing students from Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology Men & Women and the UAE University, who attend a series of seminars, workshops and internships abroad in addition to their course curriculum. The students work together throughout the year to create a website and magazine which are developed, designed, written and produced entirely by them, and provide a tangible achievement of their learning. As part of the course, the students are also given the opportunity to cover some of the capital's most important cultural events such as the annual Abu Dhabi Festival organised by ADMAF.

This new programme will allow students to benefit from the expertise and talent of industry professionals from both within the region and internationally, and provide access to state-of-the-art equipment, training rooms, and media studios. The courses will include website design and development, photojournalism, video journalism, How to cover arts event, The art of the interview, TV presentation skills and The art of the profile.

Mrs. Hoda Al Khamis Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, said:

"

"The Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation remains fully dedicated to training and supporting the future leaders of our country, empowering national talent with the art of communication. I am very pleased today to welcome a new group of enthusiastic students who promise to make the programme a success story for media in the UAE."

Ms. Noura Al Kaabi, Head of twofour54 tawasol, said:

"Encouraging and attracting students to careers within the media and entertainment industry is vital in creating a sustainable talent pool for the region.
